Finishing using ScanBackground


Check the background

  1. Check the finished image by clicking on the Spliced check box in the Display Mode group box.
  1. Use the Zoom tools to zoom in to - and out of - any regions you think need closer inspection.
  1. Make any final adjustments that are necessary. In particular, if an overlap appears poor, try using the Ordering arrow buttons in the Image Control Panel to change which image section is on top.

Save the background

When you're happy with your results, you can save the background in the following formats:

Normally, you should save all backgrounds in .tiled format, as this preserves the registration information. However, if you wish to export the scanned image to a third-party application for further processing, you need to save the file in one of the TIFF formats.

To save the background:

  1. Choose:
  1. Choose the location for the file.
  1. Click on OK, or press Return to save the file.
